Pride 2020 FAQs
What is GLSEN?
GLSEN is a New York-based non-profit organization that works to create safe and supportive school environments for K-12 students. Its mission is to ensure that every member of every school community is valued and respected regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression.
Why did Morphe choose to partner with GLSEN?
Morphe has always believed in creating a safe space where everyone can feel accepted, valued, and free to express themselves. We are proud to help support GLSEN with its mission to ensure that every member of every school community is valued and respected regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression.
Where will the donation money go / how will it be used?
Donations will go towards GLSEN general Student Leadership efforts including, but not limited to, support of student-led GSAs, GLSEN’s National Student Council and programmatic efforts such as Day of Silence, No Name-Calling Week, and Solidarity Week.
Where can you purchase the collection?
You can purchase the entire Free to Be Collection on morphe.com and Morphe stores. You can also purchase products from the collection through our retail partners, including Ulta, Pretty Little Thing, The Makeup Spot, and Douglas. Please note that donation basis and amounts vary when purchased from other retailers.
Why are other retailers selling the collection not donating 100%?
In order to maximize our donations to GLSEN and expand our global reach, we’ve partnered with select wholesale partners who will carry products from the collection. Each wholesaler has pledged to donate a select amount to GLSEN, which vary from Morphe’s donation of 100% of net proceeds. If you purchased from a retail partner and have questions, feel free to reach out to them directly.
Why is Morphe not partnering with The Trevor Project on this Pride collection?
Morphe’s partnership with The Trevor Project for Pride 2019 had a big impact. This year, we wanted to spread the love and support another charity partner. Through your purchase of the Free to Be Collection, we are able to help support GLSEN with its mission to ensure that every member of every school community is valued and respected regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression.
How did you select the students in your campaign?
We partnered with GLSEN to shine a light on seven students who are empowering others with their activism.
Why are promo and affiliate codes not valid with purchase?
In order to maximize our donation amount to GLSEN, we are not accepting promo and affiliate codes with the purchase of any product in the Free to Be Collection.
Is this a limited-edition collection? How long will this collection be available?
This is a limited-edition collection that will be available through July 2020, or while supplies last.
Can we donate additional $ to GLSEN? If so, how?
You can make a donation to GLSEN with any purchase at Morphe stores. Simply add $1, $3 or $5 to your purchase at the register. 100% of your designated amount will go to GLSEN and donations are non-refundable. If you prefer to donate online, go to glsen.org for more information.
Pride isn’t happening this year, why are you celebrating?
We believe that Pride is more than an annual event and should be celebrated all year round. This collection is just one of the ways we choose to celebrate and support our LGBTQ+ community.
